Lorry accident delays M8 traffic

A driver has been taken to hospital after a lorry overturned on the M8 in Glasgow causing rush hour delays.

Police Scotland said the lorry hit the central barrier at about 05:54, closing the motorway eastbound.

The lorry driver was taken to Monklands Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

No other vehicles were involved and the M8 has fully reopened.
