Holyrood's new presiding officer on 'promise of devolution'

Ken Macintosh has been elected as presiding officer for the fifth term of the Scottish Parliament.

The Labour MSP for West Scotland paid tribute to his predecessor Tricia Marwick and reminded fellow Parliamentarians of the "promise offered by devolution".

He said the new members of Holyrood had revitalised the parliament and promised to help all MSPs work together for the benefit of the people of Scotland.
