Tailback in Stornoway ahead of dog microchip law

Dog owners in Stornoway have been queuing to have their dogs microchipped ahead of a change in the law.

The law on pet ownership will make it compulsory to microchip every dog in Scotland from Wednesday.

It is hoped that the change will make dog owners more responsible and make it easier for animals to be returned home.
