Donald Trump branded 'a dangerous extremist' by MSP

Donald Trump has been called a "dangerous extremist" by Scottish Green MSP Patrick Harvie who was seeking clarification on the Scottish government's links to the businessman.

Speaking during First Minister's Questions, Mr Harvie asked about Prestwick Airport's links to the Trump Organisation and urged them to refrain from dealing with the "arrogant and racist bully".

Nicola Sturgeon responded by saying that under European law's state aid rules, the airport is run as a commercial venture and is autonomous of the Scottish government.

Referring to the description of the US presidential hopeful, the first minister said she would choose more diplomatic language but suspected that her views were not "materially different" to those of Mr Harvie.
