Controversy over Scotland's Barnett Formula explained

Scotland's financial relationship with the UK is being renegotiated.

The Scottish and UK governments are wrangling over the detail of what's called the fiscal framework that will underpin Holyrood's new tax and welfare powers.

It will also help determine how much money the Scottish government receives in future from the UK Treasury; to pay for services like health, education and the police.

This funding is called the block grant and is calculated using the Barnett Formula.

BBC Scotland political correspondent Glenn Campbell explains the controversy over cutting Scotland's Barnett share.
