Absurd winter picnic sculpture lights up

An army of luminous stick figures has been installed in Edinburgh's St Andrew Square.

More than 90 sculptures, in a variety of poses, have been planted in the gardens by Curated Place and French artists collective Groupe LAPS as part of the 2016 Year of Innovation, Architecture and Design events.

The absurd winter picnic theme will be lit in a choreographed display until 28 March.

BBC Scotland's Lisa Summers went along on opening night to speak to show director Andy Brydon.
