Lights go off for Glasgow bin lorry crash

Amusement rides in Glasgow's George Square fell silent on Tuesday afternoon to mark the first anniversary of the bin lorry crash.

Six people died and more injured when the vehicle hit pedestrians in Queen Street after the driver blacked out at the wheel.

A special ecumenical service had earlier taken place in Glasgow Cathedral.

During the service candles were lit for each of the six victims and three for those in who were injured, the emergency services and everyone who helped on the day of the incident.
