Glasgow bin lorry crash marked on first anniversary

A special service has been held at Glasgow Cathedral to mark the first anniversary of the bin lorry crash in the city centre.

Church leaders, including Archbishop Philip Tartaglia, of the Roman Catholic Church, and the Right Rev Dr Gregor Duncan, will lead prayers and reflections at the ecumenical service.

A candle was lit for each of the six people who died after the vehicle careered out of control with its driver unconscious at the wheel.

Three candles were also lit for the emergency services and those who were injured in the incident.
