Nicola Sturgeon's first year as first minister and SNP leader

November 2014 was a busy month for Nicola Sturgeon.

First she was elected Alex Salmond's successor as leader of the SNP, the party she had joined as a teenager.

A few days later, the new SNP leader was nominated and sworn in as the first female first minister of Scotland.
