Scotland falls silent for Armistice Day

A two minute silence is observed around the country to mark World War One armistice.

Crowds gathered in Glasgow's George Square, veterans stood silently at the 51st Highland Memorial at North Inch in Perth, shoppers stopped in Inverness, politicians and visitors to the Scottish Parliament all paused at the 11th hour, of the 11th day of the 11th month to remember those who have served their country in World War One and in every war since.
