Winchburgh tunnel disruption for Edinburgh-Glasgow commuters

Rail passengers in central Scotland are being urged to plan in advance for the closure of part of the main Edinburgh to Glasgow via Falkirk High line.

Work to upgrade the Winchburgh tunnel, in West Lothian, will begin on Saturday for six weeks.

The work is part of a major improvement programme which will lead to faster and quieter electric trains running on the route.

BBC Scotland transport correspondent David Miller reports.
