Trump: Scottish Open wants to stay here forever

Donald Trump says organisers of the Scottish Open want to hold the event "permanently" on his Aberdeenshire golf course.

The American billionaire says it will be staged there in 2017 and that building work to construct a hotel will continue while legal teams fight a nearby offshore wind farm development.

Mr Trump had previously halted the work.

BBC Scotland's Kevin Keane says organisers of the Scottish Open have said no decision has been made about where the tournament will be held in 2017.
