Stirling school kids run or walk a mile a day to keep fit

A primary school in Stirling has instituted a 'daily mile', getting the pupils to walk or run for a mile every day.

It takes place alongside regular PE lessons.

The scheme has been held up as a way of improving childhood fitness and reducing obesity.
