Aberdeen Royal Infirmary: Report highlights patient care concerns

A report into Aberdeen Royal Infirmary says the potential for patient care and safety to be further compromised is overwhelmingly evident.

Healthcare Improvement Scotland made 13 recommendations for improvement and raised concerns about leadership and culture which are impacting on the quality of care, describing one surgical unit as "significantly dysfunctional".

The HIS review also found that NHS Grampian was insufficiently aware of the problems in the hospital.

BBC Scotland's Steven Duff reports from Aberdeen.
