Flying doctors inspire Scottish isles' seafaring GPs
A new model of rural health care has been launched in the Small Isles, with GPs being ferried over by boat to provide regular surgeries for the first time.
The islands of Muck, Eigg, Rum and Canna are without resident doctors and thousands of pounds have been spent on locum cover.
NHS Highlands has begun chartering boats to transport Skye-based medics to the islands.
BBC Scotland's Jackie O'Brien joined the first boat service of its kind with Dr Angus Venters on his first official visit to Eigg.
