Former Remploy factory reopens with business from overseas

It has been a year since the last Remploy factory closed its doors - after providing employment for disabled people in the UK for nearly seventy years.

According to the GMB union only one in four of the workers laid off at the factories across the country are now in work.

However, in Scotland one former Remploy factory has been revived as evidence suggests Scottish companies are beginning to win back business from abroad.

It is run by a new company but still employs mostly people with disabilities.

BBC Scotland's Gillian Marles has been finding out more.
