Cracks found in Hunterston B nuclear power station

New cracks have been found in one of the reactors at the Hunterston B nuclear power station in Ayrshire.

EDF Energy, which operates the plant, has insisted there is no cause for concern.

The discovery has led to renewed scrutiny of the decision to extend Hunterston's working life to 2023.
