Police officers to cover up firearms

BBC Scotland can reveal that Police Scotland is recommending officers cover up their firearms and Taser stun guns with a new type of holster to try to reduce alarm to the public.

Senior officers have agreed that the policy which allows trained officers to routinely carry weapons should remain.

BBC Scotland's political correspondent Lucy Adams reports on the background to the proposal.
