Scottish independence: Last chance to register for indyref vote

The Electoral Commission is urging everyone who is eligible to register to vote in the Scottish independence referendum.

Both sides in the independence referendum campaign are urging anyone who has yet to register to vote, to do so now.

Registration forms need to arrive at local electoral registration offices by Tuesday night to secure a ballot.

More than four million people have already signed up and, with a high turnout and close vote expected, every vote is needed.

Further information on how to register to vote is available on the Electoral Commission website.
