Digital textbooks in Edinburgh's classrooms of the future

Could the classroom of the future be one in which there is no paper and no pencils?

Several schools in Edinburgh have issued pupils with their own personal electronic devices for use during lessons at school and at home.

In the new school term, the City of Edinburgh Council will extend the scheme to include thousands more children, reducing the need for textbooks and photocopying.
