Quantum physics world first for Max Planck and Scots research

Five Scottish universities have established a partnership with five of Germany's prestigious Max Planck Institutes.

The scientific collaboration is the first of its kind in the world and aims to push the boundaries if quantum physics.

Backers claim it will cement Scotland's place as a world leader in fundamental science and hope the partnership will lead to new technologies.
