NHS Highland tackling millions wasted in unused medicine

Millions of pounds are wasted on unused medicines in Scotland every year and NHS Highland is urging its patients to help tackle the problem.

Poor management of repeat prescriptions is one of the main causes of the wastage.

As BBC Scotland's Jackie O'Brien reports, it has emerged that many patients continue to order drugs which they have stopped taking because they are too afraid to tell their GP.
