New way to detect heart attack risk

Researchers from Edinburgh University say they have discovered a way of spotting who is at greatest risk of a heart attack.

Fatty blockages which cause heart attacks show up bright yellow using a scanner normally used in the treatment of cancer.

Researchers, writing in the Lancet medical journal, have said it could be the first test able to predict who is in danger.

BBC Scotland's health correspondent Eleanor Bradford met the doctors involved in the research.
