Widow calls for change in Scotland's mental health laws

The widow of the Duke of Hamilton has been calling for mental health laws to be changed so that a panel of experts, rather than two people, decide whether a person should be detained in a psychiatric hospital.

It follows the forcible detention of the Duke of Hamilton in 2009 while he was suffering from Alzheimers.

The duchess says it was completely against her wishes and she believes he never fully recovered from the trauma. He died the following year.

BBC Scotland's health correspondent Eleanor Bradford reports.
