The dangerous art of recreating a 1,000-year-old bell

A team at the National Museums Scotland has recreated an early medieval hand bell used by Scottish monks more than 1,000 years ago.

Only a handful of the bells survive and most no longer ring. The team decided to make one of their own.

BBC Scotland's arts correspondent Pauline McLean reports.
