Aberdeen gardens Peacock scheme 'on the table' again

BBC Scotland can reveal that plans for a contemporary arts centre in the heart of Aberdeen could be resurrected.

The Peacock Visual Arts scheme had been overlooked in favour of the rival City Garden Project backed by businessman Sir Ian Wood.

The businessman had committed to putting £50m of his own money into the plans which were later thrown out by the council.

Aberdeen City Council's deputy leader Marie Boulton has said the Peacock scheme will be "revisited" and could be back on the table in "some shape or form".
