Move to protect rare pearl mussels

The plight of the freshwater pearl mussel, one of Scotland's most endangered species, is often forgotten.

A major European conservation project has been launched to safeguard the mussel which has suffered at the hands of pearl fishers for centuries.

BBC Scotland's environment correspondent David Miller reports from Deeside.
