Further Legionnaires' disease cases expected in Edinburgh

The number of cases of Legionnaires' disease in Edinburgh is expected to rise, Scotland's Health Secretary has said.

Nicola Sturgeon advised the public not to panic about the outbreak, but called for vigilance and anybody displaying symptoms to contact health professionals.

A man in his 50s, who had underlying health conditions, has died whilst receiving treatment at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

NHS Lothian said it was dealing with 17 confirmed and 15 suspected cases.
