SFA coaching for South African township pupils

A group of pupils from South Africa are swapping their sprawling township for the Highlands to gain Scottish football coaching qualifications.

Nine pupils and three staff from JE Malepe Secondary School in Tsakane, outside Johannesburg, are taking part in the scheme.

They will leave the Highland Football Academy in Dingwall with a basic coaching qualification which will allow them to help out with after-school sports clubs at home.

The British Council Scotland provided grants under the Dreams and Teams programme, which develops youth leadership skills through sport.
