Behind the scenes at an airport fire training centre

Firefighters from all over the world have started training in a new multi-million pound centre at Edinburgh Airport.

The purpose-built centre is designed to provide specialist courses for fire crews who would have to rescue passengers from a burning plane within minutes.

The facility at the airport is being used as a model for other services.
