Aberdeen gardens plan is debated

Aberdeen entrepreneur Sir Ian Wood has told a BBC debate that a radical redevelopment of the centre of his native city is vital for its long-term future.

He said it would be viewed as "extraordinarily strange" if a public referendum rejected his vision of a new city gardens.

Opponents fighting to keep the existing gardens say the proposal threatens to destroy Aberdeen's heritage.
