Up Helly Aa sets Shetland alight

Up Helly Aa marks one of the biggest days in Shetland's long dark winter.

The ancient fire festival is Europe's biggest and celebrates Shetland's Viking heritage.

About 70 warriors known as the Jarl Squad will parade through Lerwick before the day culminates in the burning of a replica Viking galley.

BBC Scotland's John Johnston reports.
