Alex Salmond condemns Celtic boss parcel bomb

Parcel bombs have been sent to Celtic manager Neil Lennon and two high-profile fans of the club.

Sources have told the BBC that the devices were "viable" and appeared to have been intended to "kill or maim".

Speaking to the BBC, Scottish First Minister Alex Salmond said "all people, particularly those who love football, will unite to condemn such actions".

He said it was important to "make absolutely sure that our beautiful game is not besmirched by prejudices that belong in a long past and distant era".
