EU Referendum: Opinion split in Ipswich

Opinion is still split on the streets of Ipswich in the wake of the vote to leave the European Union.

In Ipswich, 58.3% of voters backed the Leave campaign, compared to 41.7% for Remain.

David Ellesmere, Labour leader of the borough council, said it was a "massive decision" and probably "the biggest political event" of his lifetime.

But in the town centre on Friday, opinion was split on whether Brexit was good news.
