Actress Joanna Lumley reads Emmeline Pankhurst's Freedom or Death speech

It's 100 years since some women won the right to vote.

To celebrate here is Joanna Lumley (whose great-grandmother was a suffragette in New Zealand) reading an extract from Emmeline Pankhurst's famous speech Freedom or Death, delivered in the United States in 1913.

You can listen to the Today programme weekdays 6-9am and on Saturdays 7-9am.
