Redesign democracy says political writer Paul Evans

The ballot box allows politicians to treat voters like dummies and it is time to redesign democracy, says a political writer.

In a personal film for the Daily Politics soapbox series, Paul Evans suggests ending elections, getting rid of politicians and political parties, and setting up "personal democracy budgets" where voters could decide how to spend £20 a month.
