Michael Gove denies 'drain the swamp' charge

Newly appointed Environment Secretary Michael Gove has denied he accused Theresa May of failing to "drain the swamp" of Islamist extremism.

Mr Gove said that phrase was a "mischaracterisation" of what he said. He argued on Today that he had said no home secretary had done more to deal with extremism than Theresa May.
