Crossbench Peer: 'Put a cap on drug spending'

A special fund set up to improve patient access to cancer drugs in England has been condemned as a "huge waste of money".

There needs to be a "cap on drug spending," Delyth Morgan, crossbench peer and CEO of Breast Cancer Now told Today.

She emphasised that the department of health, pharmaceuticals industry and the NHS to "sit down" and do a "good" but "tough" deal for patients.
