Brexit: Nick Clegg expresses 'sense of foreboding'

Former deputy prime minister Nick Clegg says he fears the UK is "asking for the impossible" in wanting to retain access to the EU's single market while not abiding by its rules.

The UK is heading down a "perilous path", he argues, by pursuing a "radical, uncompromising" change of direction without thinking carefully about what it will mean for future generations.
