Chris Mason on UK intervention in US-Israel row

The BBC's Chris Mason reflects on the UK's intervention into a row between the US and Israel about the building of settlements on land occupied since 1967.

He says that the tone of the UK's language is "striking" but its distancing from the White House probably makes "diplomatic sense" as President-elect Donald Trump - who has a different view on the issue - is about to succeed Barack Obama in the White House next month.
