Parliament's 'Dad's Army debate'

MPs have paid tribute to Dad's Army creator Jimmy Perry by using some of the show's most famous catchphrases during a business statement in the Commons.

Shadow leader of the house Valerie Vaz joked that cries of "Don't panic! Don't panic!" were being heard around 10 Downing Street regarding Brexit.

Commons Leader David Lidington, meanwhile, speculated that his Labour opposition "don't like it up 'em'".
