Theresa May: UK will work closely with EU after Brexit

Theresa May has been in Brussels for her first European summit since becoming prime minister.

The 28 EU leaders are having dinner during which the prime minister is expected to update them on the current state of the UK's plans for leaving the European Union.

During the day President Hollande in effect warned Mrs May not to expect any favours during the Brexit talks while she insisted the UK would remain a strong and dependable partner for the EU.
