Corbyn: Migrants make 'huge contribution'

Jeremy Corbyn has urged people to recognise the benefits of immigration to the UK.

The Labour leader will use his party conference speech in Liverpool to pledge to reinstate a fund to mitigate the impact of migration on communities.

But he told the Today programme migrants made a "huge contribution" to the British economy and many from Europe, the Caribbean and Africa were working in the NHS.
