Richard Reed, the businessman who served as vice chairman of Britain Stronger In Europe, denounced a minister's comments on British business as "disgusting".

The International Trade Secretary Liam Fox said Britain's businesses have become "too lazy and too fat" following previous generations' successes.

"How dare you talk down the country that you’ve damaged", said the Remain campaigner and co-founder of Innocent Drinks.
