'Death threats mean I question my role as an MP'

Conservative MP, Maria Caulfield and Labour MP, Jon Ashworth, have spoken about how they've dealt with recent death threats.

A large number of MPs have been sent an identical message threatening to kill them and their families.

Maria Caulfield told BBC 5 live Daily's Peter Allen that she's constantly contacting the police about security issues.

"The threats seem to be on the increase and more and more violent and aggressive". Jon Ashworth was another MP who received a death threat last week, "we are in our work place and we shouldn't have to put up with this sort of stuff."
