Kurt Volker on Obama and US view on UK-EU relationship

A former US ambassador to Nato examines the US view on the future UK-EU relationship.

Kurt Volker said it was "perfectly legitimate" for an American leader to express a US interest, but the "backlash" came when President Obama appeared to cross a line and advise UK voters what the British interest would be.

Mr Volker, who now heads a think-tank founded by the Republican senator John McCain, spoke to Daily Politics presenter Andrew Neil, who also got reaction from journalists Toby Young and Rachel Shabi.
