Dennis Skinner on 'cheap coal produced by child slave labour'

The government has been accused of importing "cheap coal" in to the UK from Colombia that has been produced by "child slave labour".

The claim was made by Labour MP Dennis Skinner in the Commons.

Energy minister Andrea Leadsom told him the government "does not purchase coal", saying it was for private companies to choose their own supplier.

She urged all private companies to "look very carefully" at their supply chains.
