Labour reshuffle: McFadden sacked for views on terrorism

Former Labour minister Pat McFadden said he was sacked by Jeremy Corbyn for his views on terrorism and national security.

In a phone conversation between the two last night Mr Corbyn said he "didn't accept" Mr McFadden's comments over terrorism.

Mr McFadden said he never "pretended" he agreed with Mr Corbyn's views when he originally accepted the position. He added that the Labour Party leader was entitled to make appointments to his front bench as he saw fit.
