Jeremy Corbyn questions whether bombing IS will help or hinder UK security

Jeremy Corbyn has questioned whether a proposal to launch airstrikes against so-called Islamic State in Syria "is likely to reduce or increase" their threat.

The Labour leader spoke after David Cameron outlined his argument for joining other countries who have formed a coalition, to attack the militant group.

The prime minister claimed that carrying out the attack in Syria would be in the UK's "national interest".
