Labour MP and former minister, Caroline Flint speaks to Andrew Neil.

Former Labour minister Caroline Flint told the Sunday Politics she believes there can be a case for British military intervention in Syria.

She said so-called Islamic State were the most “profoundly barbaric”, and well-resourced, terrorist group she had seen in her lifetime.

But she also said any military action had to be part of a wider plan to end the civil war in Syria.

Speaking to Andrew Neil, she also commented on current tensions within the Labour Party.
